Torre Abbey is classed as Torquay seafront, even though it has many beaches. It is the beach that is connected to the marina and harbour, by the town centre. It is a lovely sandy beach, on low tide has plenty of areas on the sand...More

This is a very nice beach. During Summer season it is cleaned regularly. The water is clean, but especially wonderful is that due to the beach's shallow gradient, the water warms quickly and is very pleasant to paddle, frolick or swim. The sand itself is...More

This is lovely sandy beach, good for sandcastles and flat enough for cricket. It slopes gradually so is safe for paddling and swimming. There is a concrete promenade separated from the beach by a 500 metre length of terracing which provides a comfortable place to...More

A lovely spot, tucked below the main road, with station and bus routes near bye. Clean and washed by the tide, lovely views out to see and to the main harbour.

Off season so very quiet, but beach is lovely and clean. There were dog walkers there and couples walking, but it's great to hear the sea lapping the beach.

A delightful beach that offers calm and tranquilly, safe for children and surrounded by wonderful areas of park, duck-ponds, tennis courts, bowling greens, mini-golf, cliff walks, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and gardens. A must for every beach-loving traveller. No dogs in summer, beware of the...More

Lovely soft warm sands. Very shallow water and perfect for the family. High tide does cover the sands, but not for long and is not a problem really. Great promenade and the view is spectacular across the bay. Honestly. we love this place.
