Very ornate and colourful fountain, the ideal spot for a picnic, lunchtime sunbathing, or just to wander around and enjoy the simple but effective and well kept gardens.
Next to the fountain is the cenotaph, complete with its own garden.
Just to add some amusement to the gardens is a ferris wheel, quite a tight fit inside each pod, after you can relax in the outdoor café for ice creams or a simple pot of tea.

Lovely to stroll across here on an early Saturday morning before the town woke up. Beautiful tulips out in April. Sunlight glittering through the fountain. Peaceful with little traffic around (less so later in the day I assume)

We weren’t there when the flowers were blooming but you could imagine how lovely they would look . Small ponds and a great crazy golf course bit difficult maybe for little ones as it was quite challenging for biguns,

Really not much to see, the fountain was in working order however I think due to being out of season the gardens had no colour to them and looked very dull. Situated along the harbour, would not make a special visit just to walk through.

Anyone that remembers the place in the 60s will remember how beautiful and colourful it used to be. Now it is nothing more than a dog toilet. People walking all over the grass empty beer cans and litter dropped everywhere. It would make the old gardeners who used to look after it cry.

This park runs adjacent to the sea and marina/harbour for a number of hundreds of yards in total. Its a really pleasant place to amble; in particular the fountain is a delight, colourful and exquisitely made its well worth a look!
Take some time to sit and reflect before heading off to enjoy the rest Torquay has to offer.

The gardens are very colourful and the central fountain impresses, but some of the seating is damage and has more than it’s fair share of bird droppings, the pathways are littered with cigarette ends and litter . Torbay Council get a grip.

Very nice at peak season. We watched an outdoor concert from a local band based at Churchdown (think this was a youth orchestra) who could really play. Good for scenic route to the harbour bars and restaurants. Be careful eating outdoors along the seafront as the seagulls can be quite aggressive if any food is left unattended.
