This is a great museum, takes you back to life when we didn't have cell phones, xbox, playstations, just a bat and ball down at the local playing fields. How simplier life was then. So much to see and take in. Christmas is a magical time to visit the grandchildren love it. Good value for money

Wow a lovely visit to this little but packed with memorabilia! From Victorian, WW1 & 11 to modern day. The victorian village was just beautiful so much to see, and we loved the WW trenches so interesting. The cafe too served a well earned cuppa and yummy slice of cake with a cheerful smile! Yes well worth a visit

Had a brilliant time going round here. The 1st world trench was sobering, the victorian scenes facinating and the olf penny arcade machines fun. You can spend hours looking at the items displayed

This is a lovely place with so much to see in a small space. It was packed full of memorabilia. The game machines brought back a lot of memories. There is a full size train - how it got there I don't know. The sound effects are great. All in all a very enjoyable visit and I would certainly recommend... More

Well worth a visit, very well laid out, contains some very interesting displays of the lifestyle of bygones years. The genuine steam engine inside was a complete surprise

We loved it. Being 60.. ish we were able to recognise far too many artifacts for our liking. There is much more inside than you would expect judging from the exterior of the building, including a steam locomotive. The wartime/trench exhibitions are very interesting, as are the Victorian street displays. The cafe was closed when we visited. There are plenty... More

Went to visit, not sure what we'd discover. Thought admission was quite a lot (£9.50 adult), so expected something brilliant...unfortunately slightly disappointed. Although we enjoyed looking at every day items used in years gone by and the different shop set ups, thought there were a lot of items crammed into the displays. Audio information was good (although annoying after a... More
