We visited cockington court this afternoon, by the time we queued and got served (one cold drink and four hot drinks) it took 55 minutes...certainly wouldn't rush back. The staff were doing their best but they were under staffed ...

Walking up here from the village was worth it. Plenty of activity in the workshops behind the house to visit. Later came down to the house and had a snack before taking the bus back to Torquay. Lovely gardens to walk through.

Paignton in particular is a bit tacky and Torquay is fairly typical seaside town and a little bit faded. Cockington which is between the two is a real haven. Perfect for a walk, visit to the local pub, maybe even for a picnic. Well worth a visit

It's OK, great if you want to walk the dog but not much else of interest, Went on a Sat and most of the small shops were shut. little else tolook at and nothing except a tea shop in the court (unless you are getting married). Nice walk and pleasent surroundings, but wouldn't rush back.

I took my disabled mother and was able to park up right outside the craft shops. Quite a few were closed (well, it was Monday in February but as it was half term we had hoped that more would be open). The quality of the craft shops is very good and we enjoyed wandering around. We also visited the church... More

We decided to stop off at Cockington for a coffee and ended up staying for half a day. After a period of rain the ground was quite wet, but we were still able to enjoy a stroll around the grounds - the lakes have recently been cleared and a lot of work completed on new paths, etc and should look...
