Just a mile from Torquay seafront only minutes by foot by car, bike and the 62 bus, historic Cockington Court is nestled within 460 acres of stunning grounds. If driving drive up past the Drum you will find our closest visitor car park at the back of the Court. Our Court car park has plenty of disabled parking and it is free to blue badge holders. The Court is managed by TDA(Torbay Development Agency)and has undergone a stunning restoration project with additional new build to offer over 22 contemporary craft and studios and creative spaces. Cockington Court craft centre is now home to over 27 businesses and is a very successful popular wedding venue. There is an exciting new Visitor Welcome point and retail contemporary Gallery in the Grade 11 listed manor house which showcases all resident studio makers craft work and also exhibits external local craft makers. Visitors are encouraged by Court staff to visit the craft studios directly to meet and see makers at work. There are highly talented glass blowers, ceramicists, jewellers, textile such as lace maker and upholsterer sculptors, a bespoke tailor, blacksmith's, leatherworker, printmaker, soap & candle makers, restorers and even prop maker and a chocolatier! There is also stunning wedding rooms,the kitchen gallery showing contemporary art and craft work and interpretation room describing local history. There is also an annual events and craft workshops with a programme to suit all ages and abilities, check our website for details. Don't miss the ornamental lakes, walled garden and play park. Permit and blue badge holders beware. These are not accepted in some of the car parks in Cockington but due to very poor signage you will find it confuseing to know which car parks they are. We had a weekly permit thinking we were OK...More

Not a particularly varied menu, but nice food all the same. The best bit by far is the fact that this place is dog friendly inside and out - well worth a visit if you are in Cockington.

Yes we pride ourselves on being so dog friendly our makers bring their dogs to work, we allow dogs in our tea rooms we appreciate they are a big part of Cockington Do visit again as we have dog day on 2oth August !

A great place to unwind. Dog friendly with lots to do. Glass work being created in front of your eyes. Truly special to see the craftsmen at work. Good place for souvineer. Highly recommend.

Went to vintage bike show here ..then cup of tea at the cafe ..half hour wait for our tea to arrive at table by then we had eaten cake ..very young staff standing around .seemed to be only 1 boy doin work

I agree signage is poor. I actually paid for a short term ticket so I could explore on foot where I could find a convenient disabled spot. Very narrow roads make life difficult.

Yes dogs are allowed plenty of seats outside the cafe.plenty of water for dogs around and big open field to play on.

Hi, yes Cockington is flat, the walks through the court are lovely, I'm sure you'll love it here, great place to visit
