Traditional striped lighthouse if eddystone design. Once working and not sites here, but today making a great feature on Plymouth hoe and overlooking the waters and maritime history it once served

Nice lighthouse on top of the cliff. We did not go inside mainly because there was a wedding function on, well they were all standing outside having photos taken. I think this is popular spot for weddings and wedding photographs. You can still admire the lighthouse from the outside and the kids were having a runabout near it.

Well ,worth a visit ,but be warned ,if your afraid of heights, or have asthma, or other breathing difficulties then its not for you, as there's quite a lot of climbing of steep narrow steps ,but if your someone like myself ,who just loves Light Houses ,and the even greater view you get from the top of them ,then this... Watched the air show from atop of the lighthouse. Some very impressive views from the top. A very small squeeze past everybody trying to reach the top. An interesting place to visit.

We enjoyed climbing the stairs and reaching the top. My son loved it and the views were wonderful! The stairs are very steep and narrow though so take it slowly. Going up is easier than going down!

The original lighthouse on Plymouth Hoe – unmissable in candy floss red and white alternative horizontal stripes. There is a modest charge to be able to appriaciate all 94 steps to the top of this 1759 listed building, with, of course, outstanding views from the top of Plymouth and the route to the sea – Plymouth sound.
