such a great service and always on time and reliable and takes no time at all to get to the other side, only downside is it was still winter hours so we had to get a taxi back to Mountbatten after 1815hrs.

If you go to Plymouth I totally recommended this boat trip. It's just a short boat ride between Mount Batten & the barbican at a cost of £1.50 per adult. You can seat inside in a covered section or outside. We used the service on Bank holiday Friday & it ran every 30 minutes. Stunning views & Outstanding customer service.

£1.50 each way for adults - various prices for children, free for dogs. Reasonable price for a lovely little trip. Punctual, staff very nice. A great way to get around.

Convenient and efficient but ignore the web site as it is wrong. Currently winter times 0745-1815 daily.

Since the damage to the main pontoon I've struggled to catch this recently as they are using a smaller boat and doesn't seem to be as reliable as usual. The sooner they fix the main pontoon and get the normal boat back in service the better! Any idea when it will be fixed? No sign of it being repaired at... More

Having dropped off our group of diving husbands and partners at the Mountbatten Watersports Centre we hitched a ride on the ferry from the same place. The crew were friendly and helpful and even made an extra trip back across to fetch our group of 4 when there wasn't enough space on the previous trip to get us all on.... More

Recently used the ferry to go to the barbican. The man driving the boat was miserable, shouting at people to hurry up and just being generally rude. We had a young child who was asleep and where rushed into the boat like he had to leave that second when he had been on the phone in his office for ages... More

A convenient ferry connects Mount Batten to the harbour jetty (from which a number of sight-seeing cruises also depart). In the summer season the ferry crosses every half hour in each direction – on the hour and half hour from Mount Batten and quarter past and quarter to the hour from Plymouth harbour. First ferry from Mount Batten is at... More

Always catch the water taxi when visiting plymouth. Kids love going on it and very reasonably priced

Had the misfortune to use this service on Saturday. On the rear, lower deck a rotten inspection hatch cover gave way when people stepped on it, exposing a square hole about a foot across. Worse still this was all concealed under a mat (rolled back in the photo) making it invisible until someone stepped in it and fell over. The... More
