Great gig last week in this spectacular modern setting. Surprised that this central and well organised high church Anglican church doesn't get more publicity. We only got to hear about it from a laminated flyer tied to a traffic light pole.

This is not 'dead in the middle of 'Slumsville' (sic). It is a conservation area. The church is not a 'cathedral' but a principal church in the parish. It is one of the most impressive churches in the city and the interior was spectacularly and...More

I like this church. It was impressively and successfully restored and refurbished a few years ago and the interior is very impressive. For a while they have been running twice monthly 'tea dances' on a Thursday between 2 and 4 pm. They clear a vast...More

A great venue if you swing towards the smells and bells sector of Western European Christianity. Like others have said it feels very Roman Catholic while being at the extreme catholic end of the Anglican church. If you can cope intellectually with this aspect or...More

A bit high church for my taste but the whole feel of the place, the style and erudition of the clergy and ancillaries together with the architecture make this a spectacular and emptive place to watch the services.

In the centre of the city, accessible from all areas, a major parish church, with an incredibly stylish interior and all the in your face Anglo Catholic liturgy and practices you could dream of. I am a sceptic but there is no doubting the impact...More

So very different from anything I have seen locally. Effectively and skillfully done. Nothing jars except perhaps the size of the big crucifix. Maybe I wasn't ready for it. The overall effect and the attention to detail is magnificent. Very surprised that it isn't better...More

This is a special church, old on the outside and ultra-modern within. The make-over, whilst 21st century, is in keeping with the building overall.

I came here because the Tripadvisor listing led me to the website and I then decided I had to go and see. Like most of my friends and probably my generation I have no faith to speak of, but I am curious about powerful creeds...More

is it 'High' or 'Low'? Is it Anglo Catholic? Which liturgy and version of the Bible is used? Are there just male or some female clergy?
