My wife and I have been here many times over the years. It once had a brilliant vegetarian restaurant upstairs but this has long since disappeared. The management tried a few alternatives but the dining side of things has now gone. However, the films are as well-chosen as ever. Last night we saw the Ken Loach film "I, Daniel Blake"... More

What a fantastic find. I love this kind of place. I was in search of a cosy venue, with interesting independent film: I found it. Lovely small cinema with comfortable seats, intimate space and great, varied programme. The staff were very attentive, and the coffee was superb. I asked for a double espresso with milk on-the-side; not a problem! They... More

Plymouth Arts Centre has been going for a long time but has seen some changes over the years. The cinema is a little less adventurous than it was, but is still the only place in Plymouth where you can see decent films, and the old vegetarian restaurant has never been successfully replaced - there is now a bar which closes... A good friendly cinema and a great place to chill out in the bar area. Helpful staff and the chocolate raisins are pretty good too.

We used to come a lot, it fell off and now we are starting again. This is a comfortable little art house cinema with a bar and some limited snack arrangements. Sadly the days of our preferred Sunday evening visits are no longer available but now there are 2.30 matinee showings on almost half the days, early showings generally at... More

Love visiting Plymouth Arts Centre. It offers some great films which are shown in a small Cinema with comfortable seating and a good bar menu for drinks. So much better than big commercial cinemas.

I came here to watch movie. Lovely little café for drinks before the film, cosy and comfortable cinema seats. A real gem!

A really unusual and cosy arts centre showing an eclectic mix of films. Thoroughly recommend taking the time to go there for a film and drink.

We visited to watch a film which was off the main screen cinemas. It was our first visit here. I found booking a little difficult as the box office is only open for limited hours and the online seat map did not work for me so I had to take pre-allocated seats. No matter though as the cinema is small,... More
