A very historic building carrying on the tradition of training Royal Navy Officers. The design of the building was inspired by the original floating hoax that were moored in the river Dart and used as the earliest training vessels. Lots of interesting things to see, lots of walks and if you are allowed you can walk down to the river... More

Absolutely fascinating tour his afternoon. So many beautiful paintings and historic artefacts brought alive by a superb guide. The two and a quarter hours tour flew. The architecture of the building, and the view looking down over Dartmouth is not to be missed.

The whole visit to this fabulous building was brought alive by the guide we had who knew, and clearly loved, this building. Make sure you book in advance as we were very lucky to get a place.

It is important to state that we had a special reason to be there and we did not have a commercial guided tour. But we did enjoy soaking up the atmosphere of the place and its history, especially around the war and the involvement and impact of the allied forces at that time so I suggest read about all this... Visited with an organised group of friends and was most impressed with the whole organisation. The gentleman and wife who shewed us around could not have been more helpful..
