Lovely walk from the town where we stayed in the old tea shop, through a field and across a road to get to the church which was amazing and full of history. The graves were so old.

A great place to start a coastal walk from. There is National Trust car park by the church. The church is open everyday and is only a 10 minute walk from Tintagel Castle

Stands so proud on the cliff top, untouched n stunning. Walked through a muddy sheep field but was worth it. Was New Year's Day and a great sight to see to start my new year

I saw this church everyday from the windows in the hall at the Cornishman and I visited it more than once...it is ancient (built by the Normans in 1080 this is the original building with some adjustments but....not a huge number) and the view from here is simply wonderful. The church and it's yard are open to the public except... More

A lovely church, with a number of boards in different languages illustrating that it is as much an attraction as a place of worship. Perched on the clifftops, surrounded by blue skies and sea, it's beautiful. Between the stained glass showing the wonders of the earth, and the figure of St.Christopher, who presides over mariners and travelers, the church tells... More

A must see when travelling to Tintagel. Overlooking Tintagel, the Camelot Castle Hotel and Tintagel Castle. Wonderful starting point for a walk to Trebarwith Strand and to the Castle.

This is only a small church but its location on the cliff top makes it rather special . It has a very tranquil and spiritual feel to it. We visited Tintagel Castle first and then walked up to the church . Although combining the two is very strenuous, it's quite dramatic approaching the church that way, rather than by the... More

St Materiana Church, Tintagel- Cornwall Can park jut outside on both entrances of the church grounds, or take the cliff path walk which, apart from the last bit of the return to town, not strenuous. Lovely old church with the graveyard allowed as part of Natural Cornwall scheme to run riot with wild-plants. This ground is mowed in Autumn to... More
