A sub-tropical garden built on a steep hillside which enchants the visitor not just with its exotic planting but with some beautiful views to St Mawes Castle and Carrick Roadsbeyond.

We visited while staying in St Mawes and were so glad we did. A beautiful tropical garden with hidden pathways, lovely views and secret statues. To avoid potential confusion though, can I just point out if I may, that our opening times are in fact Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am... More

While this was a quiet and restful activity, the paths are not really suitable for buggies or young children. There are a lot of steep steps to negotiate. The gardens are lovely and we really enjoyed the views!

Lovely to spend an hour exploring gardens with kids and taking in the views - just what we wanted in order to relax and do something different which wouldn't take up to much time - work off that pastime!

What a surprise this was. Beautifully laid out and very well maintained. Unusual for this part of England.
