This was my favorite castle visit -- loved it more than Pendents. Take the ferry over to see it and make sure that you say yes to the audio tour. You will learn a lot from it!

So much better than expected and something for all ages. My daughter loved the gardens and guns and I loved the history.

Visited with two children (6 & 9). Much better and bigger than expected. Great free audio tour which the adults and children both enjoyed.

we wanted to visit St Mawes having visited Pendennis previously. It is in really good condition. As pensioners, we paid £5 entrance fee and was given the option of an audio tour. We spent an hour there altogether- take a camera as the views over Falmouth are stunning

A lovely place to visit in conjunction with Pendennis Castle. Ride the King Harry Ferry to access St Mawes. See Henry VIIIth's defence fortresses which defended us throughout 400 years of history.

Beautiful gardens and views, swallows swooping around, lots of tunnels and towers to explore. Friendly staff. Short walk into town for cafes and bars.

We weren't expecting a long visit as the castle looks pretty small from the outside, but were pleasantly surprised when we got in. The audio tour was very interesting and I would recommend it as explains the important role the castle has played in protecting our island through the centuries.
