We absolutely love Gwithian it’s such a wonderfully natural place during any time of the year. Make sure you look for the seal Colony in the cove over the hill.

Parked at the National Trust car park and set off to walk the headland. Unknown to us we came across a seal colony occupying a quiet cove. Fantastic.

This is one of the finest beaches near St. Ives. There is ample car parking and good pathways to the beach. In October we nearly had the beach to ourselves with artists, surfers, dog walkers and horse trotters. For a very peaceful setting you must...More

Three miles of sand, the Atlantic Ocean, dunes, a seal colony, a lighthouse and all the fresh clean air you could want. Fabulous for dogs too although it's late October now so I would recommend seeing if there are summertime restrictions.

We always visit this beach when in Cornwall. Big sandy beach with lifeguard cover. Park in the National Trust car Park and then a few minutes walk to the beach. Beach great for surfing, body boarding, kite flying and beach games.

Great beach with easy access and a brilliant cafe (shame it overlooks the car park). Great for watching surfers and for dog walking. Dunes there for the non doggie months (boo).

I can't see why not! Near Godrevy head the National Trust may ban it. The beach is very tidal and if you are responsible I can see no reason why not!
