Lacking in information about most of the objects. At least one hour needed to see everything. Very cheap entry.

I hope that they never try to improve this museum, I love the way it is, it is perfect and I have had many happy visits here through out my life. The museum is full of old style museum charm, dusty objects in-cases with hand written labels, the museum is much a museum of its self, as are the objects... More

My great grand daughter & I visit St Ives quite frequently, & we always find time to pop into this lovely old museum which is packed with interesting treasures. There is far too much to digest in one visit, & every time we go, we learn or see something new. It is a real trip down memory lane, because when... More

I have been visting the town since the mid 1950's but is some years since I visited the Museum which has grown quite considerably. FAR too much to see in one visit but all very interesting bits of "old St Ives" the fishing, boat building, mining and town life with pictures on may old characters. Wee worth a visit but... More

In the centre of St Ives this museum traces the history of the area. It covers all subjects from railways to farming and fishing, local characters and historical events. The museum houses a diverse collection of artefacts both ancient and modern.

Ok its a local interest museum, but the staff, probably volunteers, tried so hard to engage and be helpful we were very impressed. It's cheap and well worth browisng the exhibits as the collection is very varied.

First time I have visited the museum and took some friends. Not only is the history of St Ives interesting but the curator Brian Stevens was fascinating and I would recommend anyone, locals and visitors to go and chat to Brian. A underrated local treasure

This is a great little museum with something for everyone to look at.The old photos of St. Ives are particularly interesting and a reminder of what life was like before the holiday industry.

We have visited the museum a few times. It is very reasonably priced and is a great experience to learn about this beautiful fishing village. Everything the museum holds is a must for any visitor. A brilliant insight into the history of St Ives. I hope the museum continues to entice people as these hidden gems are quite scarce and... More

Small museum in St Ives that is packed full of mementos and history of the area. Good introduction to tin mining, fishing, families, etc. Inexpensive.
