A fascinating museum just up from the quay. It has so much to see packed into it that there is a danger of information overload. We spent a couple of hours looking round but could quite easily have gone back again to take a more...More

The museum is based on the history of the town and mainly stored in old boxes and the best exhibits are the fishing and farming.

For £3 per person you can visit the museum and have a look at the local history. You need to take your time as it's not laid out that well, but there are lots of interesting bits in there. We were using the telescope when...More

This place is very reasonably priced. I think it cost 1 pound per person. If you want to get a real feel for the history of the area, then this museum is a must see. There are a lot of old pictures and items from...More

An old-fashioned museum crammed with memorabilia and artifacts from the St Ives fishing industry, shipping, Cornish tin mining, local characters, and the old way of life and its dangers. The old photographs are particularly revealing.

We always take the time to visit the museum on our annual trip to St. Ives. I always enjoy the newspaper clippings from the Torrey Canyon disaster and other seafaring incidents, as well as the local photography from across the years. There are lots of...More
