A favorite place for a family outing, this lovely stretch of beach overlooks Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance.

Although we did enjoy Porthmeor, both myself and partner found Porthminster a more comfortable beach for the family as a whole. Easier to watch the kids, good cafe/bar and shop and also had free kids activities organised for around midday. Also a very clean beach...More

The perfect family beach. Not backed by a road so particularly safe. Golden sand and azure water. Beach shop and take away. A quality cafe serving more special food also right by the sand.

We just love this st Ives beach. We have been coming here for 4 years now and regularly set up shop here. When the sun is out, so are the people, leading to a very busy beach. We like that it attracts families and everybody...More

One of our favourite beaches in St Ives. Very clean and the sand is brilliant for building sandcastles and moats! If you're eating on the beach, be very very wary of the sea-gulls as they are very aggressive if they spot you eating. The beach...More

A lovely beach, clean ,easy to get to and plenty of room for all beach goers. The surf was calm and the sea clean and blue. Had a quick dip in--water was really cold--I would definitely recommend a wetsuit if you enjoy long swims!

one of St Ives best beaches, this one is great for families, and has a superb restaurant at the far end. Plenty to do, with lifeguards on duty

Great beach for supping. Calm water and friendly people. The only thing I would advise is if your thinking of parking on the train station car park, be there for no later than 8.15am as parking can be quite a task.

It's flat so great for paddle boarding. They do hire surf boards but you do surfing on the beach on the other side of St. Ives.

There in April and you couldn't take your dog on the beach then. However Porthgwidden beach nearby allows dogs.
