This was our favourite beach to visit when we were visiting St. Ives. It is the most popular beach for surfers in this area as it has fabulous waves and is a safe beach for surfing. The colour of the sea in this bay is intense and enhanced by the white surf of breaking waves and soft golden sand. The... More

Lovely beach, great sand and beautiful coloured sea. A surfers favourite with views the Lookout/St Nicholas chapel. The Tate Gallery overlooks this beach. Some very good spots for food and accessibility to St Ives town.

Glorious sandy beach with life guard and surfing. Toilets on the beach and good access to cafes. Dogs not allowed in Summer months (even as a dog owner I agree with this) but the next beach along is.

My favourite beach. Great for bodyboarding with the teenagers & you can hire the equipment on the beach. Lovely little cafe, & out of season the best place to walk my dog!

Probably the best beach in St. Ives. Vast, long and full of happenings. Beach is clean, welcoming and so charming to spend a day out. Easy access to restroom, foods, drinks and swimming or surfing - what more you want? We felt so good to be there, and will always remember the beach!

A delightful, wide, clean, sandy beach where the waves more often than not roll in. Safe bathing. Very popular too with the surfing brigade. Generally much quieter than Porthminster where most people tend to go.
