Description:

Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens is a major new attraction in West Cornwall...

Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens is a major new attraction in West Cornwall which opened mid September 2012. In a beautiful sheltered valley, the woods, stream and dramatic vistas provide a perfect setting for large scale exotic and sub-tropical planting. Interwoven with this there is also an evolving programme of high quality contemporary art installations. Inspirational....contemplative... a joy to visit... Dramatic landscape and planting provide the backdrop to contemplative but inspirational artworks. Internationally renowned artists, such as James Turrell and David Nash have interacted with the garden to create site specific permanent work which harmonise with the setting. The land also provides a forum for ever changing temporary, or even ephemeral arts in all its forms. Ticket Prices: Standard Adult : £8.00 Concessions: £6.50 11 - 15 Years: £4.50 Under 11: Free Family Ticket (Two Adults and Two 11 - 15 Years): £20.00 Season Ticket: £30.00 Opening Times: Daily, 10am - 5pm

The sculpture gardens are beautiful and have lovely views to St Michael's Mount and a good sized car park. The only problem is is that there aren't that many sculptures!

Ive been here a few times, I really love the surroundings and atmosphere, the last time my husband and I were there, we had the fish and chips with home made tartar sauce and a nice glass of chilled white wine. The service and food was excellent, will be back.

We found this place while out for a drive one day. I live nearby but never knew it was there. They serve food in the cafe, but we went for a walk round the grounds, if your not good on your feet you may struggle a little. Its well worth the walk to the top, great views on the mount.... More

This is a lovely day out and well worth a visit. Interesting 'Cornish' planting, lovely views, some nice sculpture. The cafe/restaurant is very good too. It gets busy (the cafe) but the gardens always seem serene so I think some go just to eat and not walk and explore.

We love to visit Tremenheere for a walk in the gardens and a relaxing lunch in this stylish, friendly, family run cafe. If you have a good appetite, try the Croque Monsieur with a side of excellent fries. It's dog friendly on the terrace with views of St Michaels Mount.

These lovingly redeveloped outdoor 'rooms' are an absolute joy. The planting is interesting, the sculpture varied an inspiring. The tea room gorgeous with excellent coffee. All staff were outstandingly helpful. I've been three times now and am delighted to see it continue to develop. Stout footwear recommended. If you are in the area and like gardens this is an absolute... More
