Lovely walks around the gardens. Vast variety of plants. Suitable for families and dogs. Different walks to choose from depending on people's abilities. Picnic areas and regular seating.

We are National Trust members and enjoyed walking around the gardens and having tea at the cafe (which is actually outside the gardens near the car park), but overall the gardens were not as interesting as those on other NT properties, and not much was...More

First visit to this lovely garden, lots of beautiful gardens, amazing walled garden all well kept. Love the community involvement in parts. Nice cafe, with excellent choice of salads. Small car park close to the gardens, with large ' overspill ' car park Loved it...More

Certainly not the best National trust place I've been too. Gardens look neglected. Easy to get round in mobility scooter. Lots of roped off places. Wouldn't bother spending your pennies here folks..

Visited the gardens today with friends....what a huge disappointment. Haven't visited since last summer and something is not right. All the gardening effort seems to have gone into one part of the garden, the stream garden along the main footpath. That does look very beautiful,...More

My wife loves her gardens, and this one fitted the bill. Free entry for National Trust members, dogs on leads, good for mobility scooters (and they have one for hire, too). Very peaceful garden, good number of plants not seen before.

Yes it had some shade, seems to be several small car parks but when we arrived at lunchtime last week it was a case of park where you can very busy so you might not be able to.
