Fabulous food and large portions; my little boy loved the decor, thought he was on a real pirate ship! The staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back next time we are on holiday in Cornwall. A very good experience for...More

Me and my family have recently met up at the meadery for tea. If you want to go for a light snack then I would recommend asking for a smaller dish as the regular portions are huge. Any large groups may be able to sit...More

The food was amazing. Piled high. Didn't have room to finish my plate. The staff were very friendly and once you got your food, left you alone which was great. None of that awkward asking if your food is alright while you have a mouthful....More

Party of 6 with 2 coming from Sussex. Rest of us been before and food was usual standard. Chicken in the rough very hot and eat the old fashioned way with no cutlery. (Is available on request). Good waitress and good fast service

I understand the dark and cosy bit, however it was very very dark, couldn't see the food! Cheap frozen sawdust dry Chips, not very traditional!! Dry overcooked fish bites, dry overcooked chicken, poor value and poor quality....certainly not worth going if you like good chips...More

Been coming to the Meadery for thirty years or so. Regular visitors. This one has gone seriously downhill. Most of the main dishes were microwaved quality. Little in the way of options (in fact none, beyond a plain green salad) for one of our party...More

Has fallen down the bucket. Who wants to listen to hardcore extreme when eating a meal? ! The waitresses were shrieking and shouting and messing around. Me and my partner were sat next to eachother facing a wall when there were clearly more seats available....More
