Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

I came here with my boyfriend, in March it was very peaceful as not an extremely popurlar time of year to visit. Also the car parking was free! Which was a very pleasant surprise. The only negatives is that the zoo is literally in the middle of a built up area which is quite strange, and not all the animals... More

I came here with my boyfriend for a day out at the weekend. We had tickets so we got in for free. We spent an hour here in total (and that included wondering around slowly). Now, some of the exhibits were lovely, spacious and nice to sit and look at. However, some of them, were dark, smelly, and not clean... More

We visited on the 24th march and was very very impressed! Soon as you enter is very well set out! With a free map! Enclosures are very well thought out, and lots of animals to choose from! We spent 4 hours here comfortably! Lots of interactive feedings aswell! Watched penguins and lions and meerkats being fed! Perfect for kids aswell... More

My partner and I took our two youngest grandchildren. It was quite expensive for 2 adults and two children over 3. It's a fairly small zoo compared to Paighton zoo but the kids enjoyed it. I personally think it's a bit over priced.

Visited Newquay zoo with my partner. It was fantastic value for money and there was a surprising amount to see, it is a small zoo but what i expected after looking at the website. It only took around 2 hours but was well worth the admission price.

Whilst I have absolutely no doubt that all the staff at this zoo are devoted to their animals, conservation and work extremely hard, the zoo can only be reviewed as a public attraction and therefore compared against similar attractions. We thought it offered poor value for the admission fee it terms of the quality and interest of the exhibits and... More

Great family day out. Lots to see in a log key setting the boys loved the meerkats that were out in the sun playing. Great return offer as well. Good family fun day out.

Small zoo but we really enjoyed this! Spent about 2-3 hours here and saw the animals being fed. Quite cheap too and only down the road from the hotel. Would defiantly visit again as a family.
