We spent the day in the company of Susan and her Land Rover touring the (mostly historical) sites of Bodmin moor. The advantage of this kind of tour is that you get to see the places that many tourists just don't know about. Our guide...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hello Susan. I'm an oft-published American author and novelist. I'm also the author of the Davies & West mystery series, set in Cornwall. I know much of Cornwall like the back of my hand, but not Bodmin Moor, which is the locale for a new book I am sketching out. I know about it's history and geology and the like from research but there is much more I need to know. (I have a long history as a nonfiction author and I've ghostwritten books for people like Bill Clinton and Al Gore, so accuracy is my passion, perhaps especially in fiction.) I'm wondering whether you might be able to be my guide to deepest, darkest Bodmin Moor. I should tell you that I have a team of advisers in Cornwall: detective inspectors, crime scene managers, forensic pathologists, archaeologists, and others. They've all been incredibly generous about keeping me from making mistakes. Would a day together be of interest to you? I plan to return to Cornwall fairly soon. Thanks, Will
