The Eastgate Clock is a prominent feature in Chester overlooking the shopping streets. From the street you can walk up to take a closer look of the beautiful clock which has a face on each of its four sides. A must see when visiting Chester.

You get a good view up and down Eastgate, although not signposted as to how to get up there. You can access it on either side of the road.

The very landmark when walking on the walls so I would say this is a must visit. You can get to the Roman amphitheatre and park if you walk along the wall past the clock towards the new gate

The clock mechanism was replaced after a full upgrading of the clock was completed in October 2015. It is beautiful and admired by many thousands of tourists and of course we who live in Chester!
