Thought this cross would be more spectacular. Quite boring and easy to walk past without5 realising its importance

A bargain place to rest and recover from the stress and chaotic life. Tea and coffee are very good value, the staff are very friendly and not pushy. On a Tuesday they have a short lunchtime service where people gather to sing and pray with the pastor Jonathan, he is very faithful and honest and it is a pleasure to... More

This is a lovely old church which seems more like a refuge! The ladies in the cafe were very friendly and helpful. We were even treated to an impromptu piano performance with songs from the shows!! It was a truly restful time before setting out into the rain and cold again.

They have an open cafe here but I really came for the service and was given a warm welcome by the vicar and really liked the songs.

This beautiful Church is right in the centre of Chester we found it three or four years ago and it is worth going inside to look round this Church and discovering it's long history. Also they serve tea and coffee at very reasonable prices

Nice to escape the hustle and bustle when visiting Chester. Coffees and snacks are also served . There is a quiet area for worshippers which is good 😊

This is a superb looking church in the centre of Chester on Eastgate Street/Watergate Street by the cross and has a long history. The Anglican church was completed in 1886 and was built on the site of the Roman Praetorium so the site has some serious history. It's location is awesome and the church looks beautiful. It's a favourite tourist... More

I often visit the cafe in this church. Good value for a light snack and a peaceful rest. Lovely little church but what a shame some modern additions are so at odds with an ancient building. I particularly noticed the spotlights and LED lights near the cafe.

Found this lovely little café in the church just by chance, it's delightful, so peaceful and quiet and such a contrast to the bedlam outside on a Saturday in Chester town centre. Had two large mugs of coffee for £1.20 each, bargain of the day, the cakes looked yummy, homemade and had it not been getting on for lunch time... More
