Taking a walk along the Dee path is pleasant. I was surprised to see the ducks on the water. There is a boat ride available if you want to learn more about the history of the Dee and get a different experience. Definitely worth a look.

A great place to sit and watch the world go by, have an ice cream or a bite to eat (The Moorings is my particular favourite) Sometimes you may hear music in the bandstand

Fortunate enough to have a flat overlooking the River Dee. Looking out at the early morning mist over the river with the canoes and rowing boats going down past our window. The ducks and swans swimming around it was fantastic. Bracing walk along the banks with cafes dotted here and there idyllic.

A lovely place to talk a romantic walk along the river either during the day or at night. Boat trips are available along the river and these also cater for any party event.

The river here is quite nice, you get a good view from the walls walk. The reason I've given it an average rating is because I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this. However, if you're in Chester, which we were, and fancy getting out of the way for a bit, which we did, then the river is... More

This is one of my Top 3 places/areas to vsit in Chester, I never tire of it. It is great just to walk around and cross over the different bridges to enjoy all the different views of the river and the wildlife - swans, ducks, cormorants and if you're lucky, herons, etc. You can hire a small boat or travel on...
