I attended a Thai cookery course at Harthill and it was overall a really great experience. Brian and Mary put you at ease right away and are so welcoming and friendly. The course was fantastic, we learnt a lot but it was never daunting and everything was explained so well. I really felt like I had learnt a lot. I... More

I went on a beginners bread making course at Harthill, and really enjoyed it. Brian and Valentina (pizza dough) are terrific teachers who clearly love sharing their expertise. And their enthusiasm is infectious. The hands~on experience gained during the day was invaluable, as were all the little tricks~of~the~trade you notice when watching a master in person. Great place, great course,... More

I have now attended two of the courses, the meat course and a bread course and can't speak highly enough of Harthill Cookery School. Both courses were highly informative and at the same time great fun. Brian and Mary are amazing hosts.

We attended this course as a couple a little unsure of what to expect. We needn't have worried because we arrived and were immediately put at ease by the Hospitality of Brian and Mur, and of course the aroma of fresh coffee and freshly baked biscuits. The day began with introductions around a huge dining table, where we learned the... More

I took a team of 10 to the Harthill Cookery School and had a fantastic time pulling together a range of Mexican Street Food dishes as well as our own 'Bake Off' style strawberry tart competition. Mary and Brian were excellent hosts so the day went perfectly and every member of staff thoroughly enjoyed the whole event. I would recommend... More

I booked my girlfriend and I in for the patisserie course. I was a little worried that the cooking would be quite hard but it was set at a good level and since it was just four of us in the group, we had plenty of scope for questions. Really pleased with the masses of food we got to take... More

Having always enjoyed Thai food I decided I would try my hand at cooking it for a change. I attended a Thai cookery lesson at the Cookery School and I was expecting a quick fire here's what you need, here's what you do, go do it type session but that isn't what we had on the night! Brian and Mary... More
