The Window in the Rock is a quirky man made place to admire the stunning view of the Sark coastine. For all those who have said in their reviews that they dont know why it's there, or nobody knows why its there, it was blasted...More

Very strange indeed, but you have to take a walk down to check it out. Very interesting to see. It’s a window in a rock, but don’t get too close to the edge.

Wow! On so many levels! On the one hand, this is a dangerous place - a few well placed rocks on approach (to slow you down?) and a little danger sign is all there is to defend you from a vertical plummet to the end...More

The Window in the Rock has an amazing view but be careful as the area around it has falling rocks and a steep cliff edges. So if you travel with kids be careful. This place is a must visit in Sark.

It's a nice walk to an amazing view (on a sunny day). Do watch for the warning signs. After them, there are not railing so make sure that your small children do not run ahead of you at that point.

The UK is not short of great scenery, but this is among the best. If you're on Sark make sure you go. If you have kids beware of the unfenced sheer drops.

This viewing area is reached by what says a 7 min walk, but it was nearer 15 for us as there had been a storm the previous night and it was slippy and covered in leaf and sludge debris. There were two chaps clearing the...More
