What an amazing museum.. packed full of local history, artefacts and information.. super friendly, helpful staff.. we all wish we'd had more time to do it justice. Hopefully we will holiday in Alderney again and visit the museum for a second time!

The Alderney Museum has a variety of fascinating displays of the island's history from prehistoric times to the post-war homecoming. The room devoted to the Elizabethan wreck is particularly impressive.

A small but informative museum put together with great care to include lots of history of the island from formation to present day. There is also some excellent photos and artefacts from the Second World War occupation by the Germans. Great for children too with...More

If you like history, geography, botany and geology this is a place you must visit. Of course the horrors of the war are remembered but there is so much more. Don't miss seeing the Tapestry either,. remarkable
