I lived on Mill Road for twenty years and I go back regularly. I like the eclectic mix of shops and restaurants - most of which are local independent rather than soulless chains. The Amnesty bookshop and Relevant Record café are particular favourites.

to the 'W' (work) place. Whilst some of the shops are really interesting, others are unnecessarily expensive, particularly with food items. Could be the cost of rent and taxes I suppose. Too much traffic and fumes. Not really safe for cyclists I feel.
