This gets lots of touring shows on their way to or from the West End, usually at much better prices. It's comfortable, and as far as I can tell there's not really a bad seat in the house. Even in the last row you're reasonably...More

We very much enjoyed the show that we saw here - Iolanthe - but our evening was spoiled by the quite ridiculous bag policy which does not permit bags larger than about an A4 sheet of paper. My wife had to spend the evening holding...More

We went to Cambridge Arts Theatre to see "84 Charing Cross Road" mainly because we wanted to see Stefanie Powers live on stage. Great Theatre with great atmosphere. The Building was renovated but the audience room has still the old theatre style.

First time we have opted for a Cambridge show instead of London. We were very impressed. A very emotional rendition of a classic book. The music used throughout left you with goosebumps. Would definitely recommend. Although there is a very strict policy on checking bags...More

TOP TIP: The recommended car parks were expensive. Castle Street was free after 7pm and just a pleasant 13 minute walk away. I went with my daughter to see A Streetcar Named Desire that she is studying for 'A level'. There seemed to be a...More

I love Cambridge Arts Theatre and have seen many shows over the years. However, I think that the bag policy is simply over the top. I was asked to put a small carrier bag containing an M&S jumper (shock horror) into the cloakroom whilst another...More

Hi Linda, The closest hotel to the theatre is the Hilton Hotel on Downing Street which is approximately five minutes walk from the theatre. Alternatively there is the DoubleTree on Mill Lane on the River Cam which is seven... More
