The Arts Theatre presents shows of a high standard, often straight from London's West End. The stalls and circle have comfortable seats with good views of the stage. This is not a large venue but offers good bar facilities, pleasant voluntary attendants and an efficient...More

This is a traditional provincial theatre with a small stage – there has been some recent updating – new entrance and bar area – but overall the layout and seating remains the same – 2 tiers – stalls and circle with boxes to the side...More

Please do not assume that this is a first class theatre - pretentious yes - from the attitude of staff to the measurement of bags . Over priced ice cream in the interval, and sitting on old cinema seats, have had more comfort and enjoyment...More

Saw this production on 6/9/18 as part of its UK tour. Really quite dull and boring. It lacked suspense and drama. The actors did their best but the material and the set were not helping.

We very much enjoyed the show that we saw here - Iolanthe - but our evening was spoiled by the quite ridiculous bag policy which does not permit bags larger than about an A4 sheet of paper. My wife had to spend the evening holding...More

We went to Cambridge Arts Theatre to see "84 Charing Cross Road" mainly because we wanted to see Stefanie Powers live on stage. Great Theatre with great atmosphere. The Building was renovated but the audience room has still the old theatre style.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the film, my partner and I went to see '84 Charing Cross Road' on Saturday 30 June. I had not been to the Arts Theatre since the 1980s after I moved back to London and was curious to see if it had...More
