Great cafe in a beautiful, historic church

Great food and drink, great environment, lots of seating and artwork for sale on display. What's not to like?

Bang in the busy centre, this is a converted church and we would have walked by if there weren't 3 tables and chairs outside. Hot and bothered we sat gratefully in the shade and enjoyed cold ginger beer and snacks like old students on the lam! Inside its spacious and you share the lofty space with the church that is... Families, Students and lots of chat in part of the church which is a well developed cafe. You can see the actual church which is smaller through the glass doors - with welcoming photos of those who might chat to you if you require some spiritual guidance. I had lunch here with some family members the other day. It was good, and we all enjoyed our meals. I had mushroom quiche with two types of salad, the quiche was lovely. The atmosphere is relaxing and I would certainly go again if I get the chance.

I was on my way back to King's College, and called into St Michael's. It was a pleasant surprise, there is a restaurant and then the church. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service looks good. The church was well worth the visit.

Lovely old church which is now a café. Very good menu, appears to be home made. Soups, quiche etc. Cakes. Coffee. Very busy and popular. Good value and buzzy atmosphere

Really lovely building, great cakes, salads etc. Especially good for vegetarian options. Everything on the menu looked freshly prepared and was reasonable priced, especially in comparison to some cafes in Cambridge.
