Apart from being another lovely Church, the best reason for visiting St. Mary's is that you get the best views across Cambridge from climbing the tower. At £4 each, it is worth it and the leaflet that comes with the entrance fee gives pictures of...More

My 8 year old loved the circular staircase up to the tower, and we enjoyed the beautiful view! Its nicely caged in for those of us who fear heights!

Lovely church. Went up the tower, lovely views from top. Tight staircase with lots of steps. Hard to come down if people coming up but worth a visit. You can even see the bells through the window.

Happened to be passing on visit to Cambridge. Very very helpful and friendly women in the gift shop. Bought brass rubbing kit and had a wonderful, if back-breaking, time rubbing 3 of the 5 brasses. Very interesting history to this church - the University Church....More

Absolutely loved it. Such a beautiful view and only £4. If you're there it's well worth paying to go up there Bare in mind very steep stairs and lots of them!

Went to Evensong here (Sundays at 5:30 and free as opposed to King’s). Was lovely and the choir (Melbourne’s Trinity College) was excellent, but the ambience was ruined by tourists walking in and out or sitting in the pews on their phones ignoring the service....More

Lovely church to look around for free. Decided to go up the tower for £4 each, as it was a very clear day we could see for miles. There’s only one way up or down the very steep steps so you have to be careful...More

The church itself is impressive but the view from the tower is just brilliant. Looking out across the Cambridge city and colleges on a warm spring afternoon was a great experience and a welcome break from the busy streets.
