This free museum covers the history of the city over thousands of years. Very interesting whether you live in Bristol or have never been there. So much to see and they have a teaspoon also!!!

I wanted to see something about Wallace and Grommit, but didn't find anything. Also, nothing on Banksy, though there were books for sale. There was as interesting display on the neighbourhoods of Bristol, though.

Went here for this - signage caught my attention which was free entry for students or those under 25, I think. So good signage! The Wildlife exhibition was really great. Most of my time spent there. Rest of the exhibitions a bit disorganised, got frustrated....More

We live in London but prefer to see this when we visit Bristol because it's less crowded than the Natural History Museum and therefore more enjoyable. A superb, high quality photographic exhibition inspiring for any budding photographer. You won't be disappointed. Recommended for all age...More

M Shed certainly has the potential to be a great museum. It has (in my view) a number of interesting artifacts and excellent gallery titles ('Bristol Places' and 'Bristol People'). However what lets the Museum down is the organisation of it. The Bristol places gallery...More

3 Floors. The top floor usually contains an exhibition. The Wildlife Photographer of the yea was on when I went - which was stunning! The lower two floors are about Bristol history, politics, transport, art and social life, very interesting, and can spend hours there...More

Nice museum, but disappointing cafe. A long queue and very expensive. £3 for about ten very dry chips in a tiny bowl. Clearly aimed at people for who price is not an issue. £3.75 for one slice of blueberry cake. Noisy room with poor acoustics...More

An interesting Free to view museum all about Bristol and its people. It's mainly geared to young children with lots of buttons to push and interactive exhibits. Its quite enjoyable for most although personally, I found the mixture of random exhibits confusing. A 1950's bus...More
