We did this by using the hop on bus (highly recommend) My daughter (who is 12) was SO not interested in doing the bridge.... Hahaha that changed when we got there... She didn't stop taking pictures. Unfortunately we didn't know or see the visitors centre at the other end :( Brought fantastic postcards though. A must in our eyes.

Amazing views to share with anybody, partner, family, friends or by yourself. Strange feeling when you cross it..as is a suspension bridge..but at the other side you´ll find another treasure of Bristol, Leigh Woods. Completely recomendable. Combine both and you´ll have a magical experience. Ahh, for the lovers of the beer, I recomend have the suspension bridge view from enjoying... More

Take some time here to walk across the bridge and marvel at the view, it is breathtaking. Then have a wander in the parks and a look in the visitors centre. Beautiful and iconic.

Lovely suspension bridge with great views over Bristol and the river valley. Accessible by public transport and if walking from town it's not overly far but it involves some steep routes so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues or young children in tow. If you can time a trip with the balloon festival it's great for photos... More

We paid the £1 toll to go over this delightful little bridge, lovely views from the top and the bridge seems very narrow, but there is enough room for cars going both ways. we then turned around once we were over the other side to pay another £1 to come back again. was a lovely little thing to do and... Thrilling late night view over Bristol and river Avon. Worth the 1£ passing fee and certainly worth a walk over the bridge. Recommendable!

Great visitor centre just before bridge, well worth a visit. Get your £1 ready for toll bridge, nearly got caught out. Wonderful views. Great rooftop bar near Gorge Hotel just a short walk away on left hand side.

If your are in area, do take time to cross the bridge by foot, it is free of charge, and there is a nice view over Avon river. But do not be afraid of hight, it is a bit scary in the beginning to look down. While being here, please also visit the new visitor center. It is free as... More

The cheapest Tourist Attraction in Britain, take a closer look at the two towers, they are not clones of each other and it's fun to spot the differences. Once on the bridge and you look down you realise how incredibly high you are....I would recommend a short walk to the Camera Obscura above the bridge, followed by a drink in... More

I would recommend crossing this by foot , although it is 1£ for a car you can not appreciate the stunning views this Bridge has to offer so please park up on the downs and take a stroll down to the bridge , not for the feint of heart or any one who suffers from vertigo ,there is an information...
