we stayed in the hotel in Millenium Square and sat here quite alot but didnt really get the big screen i found it a bit boring, nothing really interesting on it, i think whoever owns it (the council maybe) can do better.

This year of 2019, was much better as last year 2018, was when the successful Pride event was in the area on the Saturday and the clearing up had not been done)
The event of Pride was moved to another venue and thus it was available for people to watch the magnificent match of Federer and Djokovick, lasting almost 5 hours - with people in good humour and having picnics and drinks in groups
Deck chairs (limited) were put out by we the curious and though it would be advisable to bring your own chair/mats just to be on the safe side
It does put on various sporting events and the time there depends on the length of the event

For the first time I do have to give something a poor rating, this is normally a good place for watching big sporting events for free and where the atmosphere is good and relaxed and quiet and you are not normally obliged to buy drinks in a crowded bar!!
Bristol Pride had taken place in the area the day before (I support all activity) but the clearing up had not been done and there was no rush to get it cleared and barriers were still there - most of the clearing was done and barriers opened at 2 pm (all the initial showings we missed which started at 1 pm)
This screen is monitored and owned by We the Curious and comments have been made to them to especially as the website indicated that Wimbledon would be shown from 2nd to 15th July 2018 from 12 noon onwards
Hopefully if events do clash then they will be more organised

I assume this attraction refers to the rather massive TV screen in Millenium Square which at the time I passed was showing the Winter Olympics.

I have been to the big screen at Millennium square behind the Watershed for the past 2 or 3 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Wimbledon Men's final - they do have deckchairs and it would be advisable to perhaps take your won to be on the safe side
Have enjoyed taking a picnic and drinks and the atmosphere there has been really friendly and even talked to people that you would not normally meet and it is a goo place for families too - every one has been enjoying the afternoon sunshine and families are there too
The most marvellous thing is that it is free too
