You cannot go into the houses but walking around the hamlet is like being in Hobbit land! Quaintest homes ever and check out the lovely chimneys!

A small collection of cottages managed by the National Trust but free. A small gate on Hallen Road lets you in to the enclosure. A tranquil Eden.

This little gem has a uneque collection of cottages all in different styles in a walled community, the cottages are lived in but it's a lovely little place to visit

A short drive from Bristol. It doesn't take long to walk around but the houses each have a character of their own. Loved the well kept but unfussy gardens. Easy to miss the entrance which is via a gate in the wall. Combine with Blaise castle and museum it makes for an enjoyable half day trip.

Looking for something a bit different when you are next in Bristol then visit Blaise Hamlet. A small group of quaint all individually designed cottages built around a village green. These were built for the workers on the Blaise Castle estate and are still occupied personal residences but you can visit to view them from the fronts and walk around... More

A little corner of England that looks like something straight out of Godrick's Hollow (that's Harry Potter's birthplace, muggles). Only takes a few minutes to stroll through but thoroughly worth it. Add it on to a local trip to Blaise Castle or the playground just below.

Please note that people do live in these cottages, so please be respectful! It's so beautiful for sitting and having a picnic on a sunny day or just to come and collect your thoughts. It is like a little slice of heaven in the suburbs
