The climax of a 16 km (10 mile) scenic highway known as the Akamina Parkway, is Cameron Lake. Nestled between the majestic mountain peaks of the Akamina Ridge, this sub-alpine lake is one of many serene bodies of water that makes up Waterton Lakes National Park. Beautiful Cameron lake is a great place to rent a canoe and grizzlies are often seen on the far slopes.

Did a 1.5 hour kayak paddle here in July 2017. Beautiful setting. Park infrastructure newly renovated and improved in 2016! Lots of different types of boat rentals on the lake. Paddle to the opposite end to see the waterfalls spilling into the lake.

It's a beautiful lake surrounded by majestic mountains. Yet the highlight for me was a young bear which seemed to be unaware of the risks humans pose. I was indeed lucky to get a few clean shots (photos) of him.

We headed here in the morning during our time in Waterton National Park. The lake is not super large, but it looks like they have just paved the parking lot and put in some day use larger restrooms around the parking lot – they were...More

What a great place to get back to nature! Beautiful lake in the middle of the mountains with nice trails. Had a bear encounter right off the parking lot but ranger handled professionally. Must see location in Waterton Lakes!

The lake has boat rentals and a path around the lake on which to hike. Pretty, but not breathtaking.

I've stopped by the lake twice and both times I felt it was lackluster. There are kayaks and paddle boats available to rent but it was windy both times I went. The view is spectacular.

It's a wonderful drive through beautiful country. The road could use some help so you could focus on the beauty, but it's still worth it.

Yes. The new facilities are all ADA compliant. There is a nice level trail along the lake.

There are some picnic tables in the area. It would be a good idea to take something to sit on for your picnic too, as this is a very busy place right now, especially at weekends.
