The red colour was amazingly brilliant which looked artificially coloured. The surrounding area was gorgeous as well. Small but astonishing. Not surprised at seeing a lot of people there in the hot summer.

This is the trailhead for several hikes in the area. The walk around this small canyon is very easy. Go early in the summer as the parking lot fills up quickly.

Get here early to enjoy the river without a lot of people running around. The colors will inspire you. The flowers and trees are so abundant.

Fantastic scenery abounds through town as well as on the drive up to the canyon. It was getting close to nightfall when we made it to the end and there was some weather moving in, so we didn't get to explore to much of the canyon and trails. That said, I definitely plan to return and spend a day in... More

This was OK, not very spectacular though. There is a nice trail on either side of the canyon, not too long and very crowded when we were there. It was a nice place to get out and stretch and take a short hike. Lots of people there.

We took our boys to Waterton. I remembered this spot from a family vacation I had taken as a child. This canyon is really unique. My boys wanted to spend a lot of time here. They were very engaged. I was an easy hike for us. Since our kids were ages 7 to 11. It was definitely worth the hike... More

We drive to Red Rock Canyon in December, just after Christmas. Heavy traffic, a lot of people. Cold weather, you need winter jacket. The view was amazing, beautiful nature. You can walk, clamp and enjoy the view. You must see!

What a great way to experience a small canyon. Very easy to navigate, a littlw chanllenging at times with young children, but nothing too overly difficult. Gives you an opportunity to connect with nature and disconnect from reality.

You could drive the entire road to Red Rock Canyon, but then you got to the end and had to wonder what you were meant to do there. I visited at the end of September and they were doing road construction. Part of the canyon trail was open. The trail to Blackiston Falls was closed (my primary reason for having... More
