I hadn't been here since my children were young, but after hearings from friends how it has been improved, decided to take two of our Grandchildren (7 & 4) whilst they were staying with us during the February half-term. The trouble was, hundreds of other...More

There is so much to see where, all of which are associated with children, what they did and what they played with. Some of the displays were quite moving, when you learnt about the children who went down the mines, or those used to clean...More

This was a great day out. Hands-on experiences, which really make the day. Getting to show the kids the toys we played with when we were young.

We visited this museum to check it out with a view to bringing our grandsons - all under 7. It is a brilliant place with hands on activities in every room. The boys will love it.

I brought a 7yo and 4yo, and they both had a great time, playing and learning at the same time. Their favourite was being chimney children! It was quite hot inside the museum with few windows and no ventilation.
