Part of our towns history but no info boards, closed to public and looks like it is used for something else. The same with Kilmarnock house in De Wet str which was the headquaters for the British army during the Anglo Boer war.

It would be great if we can get more value out of this space. A pity you can find out about the block house - the park is great for kids and families and a few amenities or additions can greatly improve the overall experience.

The Blockhouse itself is just good for maybe 1 or 2 photos... and you can't go inside which is a bummer. But the park is really nice and clean... and it has some fitness area as well as kids play area. We took our toddler...More

This is in the park across the street from where I live - sadly it is cordoned off and there is absolutely no information board about this blockhouse - you can photograph it, but that's about it

not really heard of ,and not difficult to find but fenced and not accessible but well preserved and worth visiting
