I agree with Zelda Knight. The Person in charge is not doing what he is suppose to do. The reserve itself was so beautiful.

As part of our weekend getaway, we took time to go visit this reserve. We got to see almost all the animals that they have. White Lions are beautiful, as are the Brown Lions. The reserve and animals are in a healthy state. A note to visitors, it is best to go in a 4 x 4. Take your camera, as you will be seeing alot of animals. A trip to this reserve is worth it.

Like a mini safari get away for the day. Kids fed a giraffe and got to see all their favourite safari animals. Truly worth a visit

We booked into the log cabins because we had been there about 8 years before and it was good then. It advertises for family (4 people). We were 4 people.

But we won't be going back.

The cabin, while clean, and we were shown about the place by a kind gentleman on arrival, seemed very uncared for. The shower needed major grouting attention, and a good cleaning of tiles. The shower door was grubby and did not close properly. It was very small, which we can manage, but the one dull ceiling light in the bathroom did not light up the shower space, so one essentially showered in the dark. We are given only one small bath towel each, and no hand towels, which is not okay. There was also no soap in the two bathrooms, and we had to find our own soap. The main bathroom had only one toilet roll (we were there for the weekend).

The kitchen, while 'fully equiped', seemed in need to some repair and attention. The oven door did not close properly, the tea pot lid did not close properly, and all the kitchen drawers did not open or close properly without scrapping against the other drawers. Difficult to get things in and out. The fridge was old, and the door did not open except to swing fully back out and outwards.

There was seating in the lounge, but only for 3 people - one small, tired couch, and one chair. The 4th person had to use a stool whih was hard and uncomfortable.

The beds were very hard, uncomfortable and with thin mattresses. Linen was, however, clean and good. While clean, the bedrooms had no hanging space for dresses or jackets, the main bedroom had no dressing table, and both doors to the bedrooms did not close well enough (sliding doors) leaving a gap when closed so that there was no real privacy.

The braai was sufficient in size, and there were 2 bags of free wood, but we had only 2 small firelighters and struggled to light the fire.

The cabin outside on the patio had 4 nice outdoor chairs but the pation seemed in need of care - varnishing and some repairs to be done - as the wood was old, untreated and getting rickety.

The wooden floors inside squeaked all the time when anyone walked, which seems fine at first, but it became quite stressful and very noisy, such that the TV had to be turned up when there was 'traffic'.

One day we decided to visit the Wonder caves only to arrive at the entrance to be told it was closed and had been for 1.5 years. No information about this closure was given to us upon check-in.

It seems to me that the log cabins are run down and in need of attention and repair.

We saw no rhino. We did visit the preditory camp, the only real delight of the whole weekend.

The service from all the staff (we stayed in a log cabin with jacuzzi) and the game drives were the highlights of our stay. It is a holiday we will never forget. It is the ideal way to get away from it all and just relax.

This review is in two parts, the park, and a restaurant within it. The park itself was excellent with lots of animals to see. We were there at feeding time and saw the wild dogs, white and brown lions, cheetahs, buffalo and several species of deer, as well as giraffe, hippo and zebra! So, for the park, 5 stars! Now the restaurant which I think is called Boma at the top of the park. We had lunch there and the food was excellent but… BUT… when I paid, my card was cloned by the waiter and I was scammed out of almost £800 before I could inform my bank. It was the only place I used my card, so had to be this place! One transaction made with the cloned card was in Namibian Dollars, about 7,700. So if you have a Namibian waiter I’d ask him some questions! This is why I give a 2* rating. DO NOT PAY WITH A FOREIGN BANK CARD IN THE BOMA RESTAURANT! My card had to be cancelled and I was stuffed financially for the rest of my holiday! If I could review park and restaurant separately I would but I cannot see the restaurant on TA.

Dear royf136 Thank you for your review on both the Reserve and the Restaurant. We have been in contact with your travel agent to clear the "scam up". Please note we do not have any Namibian staff at our facility. Regards

Never been on safari before (infact my first time to SA) and found myself with a few hours spare on a business trip and a colleague recommended to try this….I was not disappointed at all it was a brilliant half day spent out in the ‘Bush’. Easy to book, and easy to get an Uber from downtown (about an hours drive). Our guide, Anais, was really great and made a good trip great-and we got to see Lions, Rhinos, Painted Dogs, Zebras, Giraffes and a whole bunch of other stuff. Highly recommended.

Great accommodation. Clean, spacious two bedrooms both with en-suite, large kitchen, outdoor patio and living area.

Despite no electricity points, solar panels provided sufficient lighting for the chalet for the entire evening.

Free firewood. Grounds are well kept with high fences though it didn’t keep out the occasional warthog or Impala that fled when they saw humans. Lovely pool, play gym for the kids and enclosed lapa area.

Would definitely recommend staying here. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We were pleasantly surprised by the number of wild animals that were in the park, easily visible from the vehicle. The predator park was the highlight as we saw Lions, Cheetah and Wild dogs.

We had such a superb time in the reserve. The animal sightings where great and I'm not talking about the caged and enclosed ones. No just to watch the free roaming game was a very good experience on its own.
The elcome center is huge and there is lots to do close by. The 4x4 tracks are in a good condition and I enjoyed driving them.
