Of course, it is a major waterfall, so supervision and attention is extremely important for all youngsters. Even adults need to be mindful of the hazards when you leave the secure marked path - an unfortunate death occurred here a few months ago. But if...More

Wonderful riding country with astonishing trails of varying difficulties, worth packing and camping to cover more ground though the equine camp facilities are brilliant

Elbow Falls is about 25 K southwest of Bragg Creek, so it's a little further out of the way than most people may think. A few years ago, there was a major flood in the area, the picnic area was washed out, and according to...More

Sadly not what it once was, same as many riverside areas affected by the flood. Worth a stop if you are visiting the area, biking or hiking. Still way too many idiots crossing the barriers, risking their lives to get a picture.....

We loved this area so much from the backside on quad which is not an option now. We just had my husband's ash ceremony there - it was the best as we did it early on a Monday am - weekends are crazy busy.

Less than 40 minutes from Calgary, and open all year (the road is closed after the parking lot) this is a must visit place. It changes all year round, the river levels lower in summer and winter and become a torrent in Spring, with beautiful...More

This place is simply wonderful. But you should go out of the trails cause they are plenty of things to see in the area.

We saw pictures of Elbow Falls before the 2013 flood after visiting it this year. WOW! What a change. You can see how truly powerful raging water is and that we can't harness it all the time.

We had being here before the flooding so it's a very different experience this time. Pack a picnic and some chairs and enjoy the beautiful falls and hike. We saw some cliff jumpers also which was a cool experience.

Hi, yes there are public, dry toilets on site. The parking lot is flat and the first part of the pathway is very accessible for wheel chairs and walkers. There is a viewing area close by to see the falls comfortably. The... More
