Joffre lakes has been a long time local favourite. The trail is exceptional for stunning terrain in a short walk. It has become decidedly overrun however. Mid week is the best choice as weekends can find several hundred cars in the parking lots, highway etc. If you're trying to entice someone to try hiking this is the hike. Three stunning... More

This was an unforgettable hike to the upper lake! You climb about 400mtr over 5km up to 3rd Lake. On your way you'll experience some of the best views in this area while you pass lower and 2nd lake. Some parts can be pretty steep, so good (snow)shoes are a must. Once at 3rd Lake (Upper Lake) you have an... More

Whow what a place! The waters are just so unbelievable. The lakes with the backdrop of the glacier is beautiful. I hope to return one day to be able to experience camping on the top of there..

Easily accessible from Whistler. There are three lakes, the first just a few minutes walk from the car park. The walk to the third passes waterfalls and provides opportunities for rest stops. The trail has been recently graded so makes for an easy hike, however good footwear is recommended. It is a very popular hike so get there early to... More

Awsome beautiful a touch off heaven. If you love the out doors this is the place to Vista in all four seasons. My niece has visited in the summer and the water is aqua blue.

Large glaciated terrain surrounds Joffre Lakes and makes for some of the best ski touring on the Duffey. Many people approach from the road and do day objectives with light packs while others prefer to camp near the lakes for the weekend or get dropped by a heli early in the morning to ski tour the high country before skiing... Banff and Jasper (Canadiab Rockies) are known for their beauty, but there are mountains and lakes just as beautiful near Penticton, in a short drive from Vancouver.

It was bloody cold when we first got there, but after you start moving and get the blood pumping it's fine. There are so many spots to get some great pictures! The climb is medium level difficulty and certainly with a few breaks, you can make it no problem. If it's going to be an overcast day, pack extra clothes!... More

This has got to be one of the most beautiful provincial Parks anywhere in Canada. They only trouble I see is that it is becoming way too popular with the crowds of people that drive up here from Vancouver and the Fraser Valley during the summertime. There is often no place to park in the lot and vehicles lined up... More

We went to 2 of the 3 lakes because of lack of time. It was very though but all worth the efforts. The surroundings and views are the most beautifull we ever saw. The incredible turquoise colored lakes (especially Middle Lake !) are amazing. Definite a must see and do. You may not miss this place !
