    Beautiful overlooks!
The views up the Cypress Mountain highway are absolutely amazing! We went when the rain has just finished though, so the views are a bit foggy. But at the overlooks, there were bald eagles flying overhead, and that was a sight to behold!

    Fun coaster but mediocre facilities
Came here to try the eagle coaster. I have been on alpine coasters around the world and this one was good but I have been on better. We went on a weekday mid morning and had hardly any wait to get on. The staff at the botto, and top of the mountain were nice. You have to book tickets in advance and you’ll get a time slot for entry ( you can go on the chairlift to the top 15 mins before your time ). The coaster isn’t very fast but it is still fun for all the family. You can control your speed if you are more nervous. The actual cypress mountain is nice with good views but the facilities including restrooms and restaurant are very mediocre. The restaurant in particular was awful so I would avoid it and bring your own food.

RFID Processes need to be more customer focused and restaurant needs a tune up.
Well we went to the resort yesterday for my daughters birthday and we had great weather and the mountain was great. Reason for the 3 out of 5 review was mainly the RFID system. My daughter’s pass stopped working half way through the day and the only recourse the lift operator has is to send you back to customer service to fix it. It should not be necessary for a paying customer to go and waste their ski time tromping back to customer service, waiting in god knows how long a line up due to a problem with a system that only works half the time. There should be a way to help your customers right at the lift by fixing their pass or giving them a temporary one to use until it’s convenient for them to go to customer service to fix it. The temp pass should get them to the front of the line at customer service when they arrive so they do not have to wait in a giant line up. Other than that the only other complaint I had was the food and service in the grill needs a little tune up. Some basic pub food not available, ie chicken tenders… what pub doesn’t serve those as an appy, and they were out of the WINTER ale and the waitress could not suggest a comparable option. All in all I love the mountain and my daughter and I had a great ski day for her birthday. Fix the rfid badge break down system(s) to be customer focused and I will give a better review next time.

Cypress Mountain - Great First Impression
I skied for the first time on Cypress in early April. I really enjoyed the ski conditions, the friendly staff on the hill and in the canteen. I rented my ski equipment; fabulous. The sunset from the top of Black Mountain in the early evening was a very big surprise. The 'lift' to the top was very busy from 7 pm onward, as lots of other skiers and boarders knew why they were going to the top. Each of the two mountains is different from the other. Good grooming was good to see.

As a Vancouver resident and longtime snowboarder, Cypress Mountain is great due to its close location to the city and where I live. I can easily drive there and do a quick day trip out to the mountain for some great powder when I want making it super convenient. Lift prices are cheaper compared to Whistler and parking is great! 4 stars because less runs compared to Whistler.

Mountain itself is good. It's the highest one from local ones.
But... Food is mediocre. I've payed season pass for myself and 2yr old tot. Pass for little one costed about 80$ (vs 20$ in Whistler) and we still can not go to magic carpet... They don't tell anywhere neither on website nor in agreement that magic carpet is restricted to lessons only. And kiddo is too small to share chairlift. So, for what I've paid 80 bucks? Moreover, I saw carpet sometimes is completely free of people - on weekdays, and when there are timeouts between lessons. Cypress team, I would be very grateful, if you can manage this concern and provide some options to get in, based on time windows and/or limited by max capacity of rides there. So, it won't be overcrowded and all tots will have some fun.

PS: I've passed a few ski school + snbd certifications and pretty confident rider. Getting lessons for 2yr olds is pretty hard, 'cause they're barely get themselves organized, and need precise control. So, there is no point to buy lessons for him.

Like the DTES of ski hills, lock everything up & buyer beware... a day of skiing shouldn't end with regrets.. i've worked at both and suggest a drive to lookout, enjoy the view and turn around...save your money for something epic.

Just did the coaster ride @ Cypress ( July 22, 2023) so you book in advance drive up and you basically ride a glorified go cart on a track, down the mountain about 1.7 km your elevated about 4ft, there are straight aways , turns and bumps along the way, you vertically drop about 1,000 ft - my eare popped 2x.
All I can say is I am almost 60 and it was just a lot of fun, felt like a kid again , oh and some of the views form the cart, and along the drive up and down are breath taking , al in all I would say your up a fair height.
