I'm a little biased I guess b/c I have a trailer on this lake, but I love it. It's bigger than most other lakes in the forest so very clean and private. I'm not a fisher person, but I'm sure it's great for bass since I see them off my dock all the time.

We stayed at a campsite here recently. Only a few sites are for transient campers with the rest leased to seasonal and permanent trailers. Campsites have their own outhouse, fire pit and picnic table. While there are typically no neighbours right beside you, sites 7A, B, C are all very close. My husband and I are fortunate to have a site on McDonald lake out at the Haliburton Forest. we have spent many a summer on this beautiful lake enjoying all that the Haliburton Forest has to offer, beautiful trails, water to swim in, great food at the Cook House and an abundance of wildlife on our door step.
