This watering hole is close to a resort so easy to get to, shade and facilities nearby.
You are certainly likely to see elephants morning and afternoon and we also later saw vultures and giraffes.
There are larger and better watering holes so ensure you visit them too.

Moringa Waterhole, located within the Halali Resort, is a great place to see wildlife. Even though it is located within the resort grounds, it is still free to visit, even if you aren't staying there. The walk from the parking area is short and not strenuous, and there are some nice shaded areas to relax and observe wildlife from. During our short visit we saw a wide variety of animals, including kudu, zebra, springbok, and impala. This is a great waterhole to visit, and in my opinion, the best part of the entire Halali Resort. If you are planning to visit the resort in any form, then you should definitely head to the waterhole as well, you won't be disappointed.

You must visit every waterhole especially since it hasn’t rained in 7 months. This was so active with Ellie’s, giraffe, birds, nightjars, hyenas and many other animals. Don’t just go in the evening, go multiple times because the animals do change.

Take your time! Just sit and be in the present. Take a half hour and just be. This is a really good waterhole with lots of wildlife passing through.

This place is why you came to Etosha. Not just about driving around. An opportunity to get out the vehicle and sit with a drink or ice cream or take some pics.

Just spend a little longer though.

I hit the jackpot at Moringa Waterhole seeing 16 Black Rhinos one night. It was simply the best. It's inside Hilali Campsite.

Great setting, well lit, excellent sunset over this watering hole. We saw a large herd of elephants and one rhino come by when we stayed at the camp.

The first night there, we were rewarded with seeing Etosha's big 4 all before 9pm, as well as hyena and jackal. The following night a Cape Fox (our first viewing in Etosha) graced us with his presence. Our preferred night time water hole!

We didn't visit Moringa during the day, but did two consecutive nighttime visits. Halali was mostly empty during our stay (due to covid), so I don't know what the Moringa experience would be like with crowds. But we loved our nighttime walks to the waterhole, with the slight scramble thru the rocks (bring flashlights!). Both nights, we watched several black rhinos, hyenas, and lots of swooping owls. It was absolutely mesmerizing.
