One of my favorite beaches in Thailand, very clean and well-run by the military. They only charge 10 baht for a chair and all prices are regulated, there is no price gouging that I know of. It's mostly Thai with some foreigners, the water is clean and it's mostly calm, though I've seen it get a bit whipped up too!

This beach was very child friendly with very little waves and a gradual slope into the water. We did visit the monkeys prior to stopping at the beach and lived to regret it. When you buy a bag of food from the vendor, the monkeys have come to know well what is coming. They repeatedly came and yanked the entire... More

A very typical Thai beachfront with rows of foodstalls. The place itself is nothing spectacular but among the stalls, there is very good fried ice cream and coffee.

First went here 2 years ago and knew we had to come back. Clean beach and plenty of eating options. Plenty of stalls and several toilet and shower blocks you can use for a fee. There's a feeding farm (20 baht for feed) and my boys loved feeding deer, goats, (don't feed the horned goats) and ostriches. Also a horse... More

We were here almost alone, the beach is clean and places to eat local food are cheap. It's a good place to play sports like beach tennis, running, basket and also has a free gym close to the beach. I recommend come by bike, and don't miss the wing 5 area with the cutest monkeys I've ever seen, they love... More

Excellent beach with amenities. Virtually empty during week days. Gets crowded on weekends. Eateries courts just behind. You can order on the beach too. It's military maintained and cleaned. The military run public toilet (just one with some military photos in front) requires you to take off your shoes before entering public toilet (you can use their flip flops or... More

Easily accessible (by single-gear bicycle) pleasant tropical beach, inside military base 5km from centre of town, Plenty of cheap food on sale at the beach. Tends to get very busy with Thai weekend holidays Saturday/Sunday, but plenty room for all

This is my favourite beach in the area, situated on the Air force's wing 5, the beach is long with plenty of loungers and tables and various restaurants offering food to your table on the beach, very safe for children lots of sand (watch out for the tiny crabs, don't worry they hide when they see you coming) Bring a...
