    Wells Grey Wonders
A tour Company, Enjoy the Journey took us on a splendid 4 day 3 night trip to Wells GreyProvincial Park. The scenery was pristine and spectacular. Highlights included the amazing waterfalls, wildlife sightings, interesting geologic formations and rich history of the homesteaders. The scenic trip back through the Nicola Valley showcased the best of BC .

    Campground recommendation
AMAZING WATERFALLS. We had Clearwater campground d booked but changed to the first come first serve Pyramid campground (no services). It’s only $20 a night (cash only) and was more central to most of the popular hikes. No water only hand pump so bring water in from town of Clearwater.

    Stunning and Pristine
Beautiful wilderness area in northeastern BC. A hidden gem. A trip up Clearwater Valley Road is a easy drive. Go as far as the pavement takes you or onward to Clearwater Lake on a decent gravel surface. Clearwater Lake is about an hour drive and 65 km.

    A hidden gem
This is a real gem, first visited from the UK in 1997 and always wanted to come back. So different from the tourist areas in Banff and Jasper, a haven of tranquility and so unspoilt. The scenery is amazing, no crowds, an empty road most of the way in and the Ray Farm has an atmosphere all of its own. I miss it already. One of my top 3 destinations.

    Waterfall Heaven
We drove to the end of the dirt road on the north end of the park and then started stopping at waterfalls on the way back. The big H waterfall was closed for viewing platform maintenance, but there was still plenty of waterfalls to see. Make sure you stop at the waterfalls and walk back to each — they are worth it. The view from on top of the lookout tower provides you with great views of the surrounding snow capped mountains.

What can you say to describe Wells Gray? Its wild, Authentic with lots of trails, riverside walks and many beautiful Waterfalls, and opportunities for Wildlife encounters. We saw a Bear on our trip on a lovely day in May.

This is not to be missed. We spent two days in the area. The first day we went white water rafting. It was exciting, scary and thrilling! The next day we hiked and visited some falls. We could have spent a week there. It’s a beautiful Canadian gem

Well over a million acres of unspoilt countryside with all the usual parks stuff to do, campong hiking cycling etc etc. We were passing on the way to Whistler so could spend too long. The Visitor centre gave us a great steer manned by a cheerful helpful chap who got us a bunch of maps that covered us for the next three days of our journey, and also made a couple of recommendations of things to see that wouldn’t’ take us very long, the Helmcken and Spahats falls. He was right on all counts, didn’t take long and were well worth the effort…and rain

The whole park is well sign posted with all the different areas. Most of the waterfalls are only a short walk. Whole area was beautiful and definitely worth a visit.
