We are one of the oldest boat tour operators in Nova Scotia. Our three-hour tours include a variety of activities depending on the route and weather conditions. We don't always see whales but you will have an exceptional family outing. You will discover and can photograph Old Town Lunenburg from the water, see miles of rugged Nova Scotia coastline and observe and hear the rush of waves plunging ancient sea caves.

We pass iconic lighthouses, stop briefly near Pearl Island (one of the few colonies of Puffins in the province) and often see dolphins, a variety of seabirds, leatherback turtles, sunfish, harbour seals and other marine species.

As for whale watching, the variety of species we see is impressive. There are Fin Whales, Minke Whales and Humpbacks. And on very special occasions (and with a bit of luck) we have seen rare species, like the great Blue Whale, the largest whale (and animal) on earth.

Nice boat ride but no whales

The boat was fast and gave good visibility but whilst this is a great journey it seems you are unlikely to see what you expected. We totalled one seal, one gull: that's it! I... read more

We went out a 930am on a zodiac with the guide, myself, my BFF & a family of 5 visiting from India. Our guide was knowledgeable, answered all questions and we were only out 5miles from Brier's Island and see our first whale, a Humpback, on its back, flapping its fins up & down in the water for several minutes.... The boat was fast and gave good visibility but whilst this is a great journey it seems you are unlikely to see what you expected. We totalled one seal, one gull: that's it! I wouldn't mind so much but there was no mention of this lack of 'seeing' and it was very pricey for what is little more than a... More

they have a board outside their kiosk on white board they check off daily, telling you of "recent siting's" of blue whales, humpbacks, seals, puffins, leatherback turtles, tuna etc.. NONE WERE SITED EXCEPT THEY DROVE US TO A SHOAL WHERE 10-15 SEALS SAT. OTHER THAN THAT WE SAW NOTHING/NO WHALES, NOT ONE. THEY TOOK US TO SEE THE ovens caves,... More

I thought I would have a whale of a time but I was left disappointed and annoyed. Lunenberg is a beautiful town I must admit but the lunenberg whale watching are a monopoly here. It was a total waste of 3 hours and $60. No whales to be seen. You think a whale watching your would have a heads up... More

First of all I'd like to start by saying I'm not faulting the tour company itself. I know it's a risk that you take when you choose a whale watching tour that doesn't 'guarantee' you'll see whales. Our narrator was very helpful and informative when asked questions, and the boat was very clean. They had a bathroom on board, and... More

This whale watching tour was a disappointment from start to finish, a giant waste of 3 hours and the most disappointing experience I had during my trip of the East Coast. When we boarded the boat they seemed to have overbooked the tour as 3 of us were left standing. The tour guide didn't even acknowledge that we had been... More

They were knowledgeable about the town but there were no whales to be seen. We traveled around for a while on the boat. They did happen to find some seals but we are not sure if they actually new where they were. They never talked about the animals during the trip or where they might be or even if we... More

First off, there are a lot of negative reviews revolving around people not seeing any whales. That is always a risk you take when you go on any wildlife tours. It's not the fault of the staff if whales aren't seen. They don't care about tourists - they're whales! Alright! On with it! We saw multiple whales, seals, and lots... More

Well, I called a day before I made the reservation and asked what are the chances to see whales? A lady on the phone informed me that whales are there and we will see them in 100%. She also added that we would see dolphins because now it's a season for them. So, I purchased 2 tickets, we went for... More
