Deep in the snow, high up on the Powder Highway, lies Fernie Alpine Resort. With 37 feet of perfect powder, stunning scenery, 5 huge alpine bowls and endless downhill thigh burning runs. Don't miss an opportunity to fall in love with Fernie, start...more

Basic lifts - 5 main chairlifts give excellent access to 5 different bowls. Great open slopes, great tree skiing, lots of “off piste” some seriously challenging terrain all in a very friendly environment.
Good restaurants in the town for evening meals.

Fernie I bet is spectacular with powder - without its epic powder it’s a steep icy mess. Fingers crossed for better conditions for the next few days. On the other hand the people are lovely and warm and kind! The resort is not fussy and...More
Fernie was in a deep freeze and our first day was so so. However Fernie never disappoints, 10+cm over night and all was good for day 2. Following day, unusually cold weather meant most lifts were closed, so we relaxed instead. Just reminds you that...More
I recently skied a few days at Fernie Alpine Resort. I enjoyed skiing the chutes off Polar Peak chair because of all the accumulated powder (the chair hadn't been open for several days) and the many steep tree runs accessible from White Pass chair. Other...More
Tired of icy ski trails, severe cold and wind? Fernie offers epic powder ski conditions in late Dec, Jan and much of February.

This is a great summer or winter resort but this time we enjoyed the skiing. Beautiful mountain with many pricey restaurants to pick from. Good ski shops and restaurants on the hill as well. Many new condo’s and hotels. The hill is great for beginner...More
I really enjoyed my time skiing Fernie even though they need more snow, just like all the other ski hills in the area. The runs were fun and lift lines were not bad. The staff were all friendly. Happy to see washrooms on the hill!...More

The service is amazing at the rental shop in the hill. If you’re staying at Lizard Creek there’s one right by the ski out door. They are very exact and will find the perfect fit for your kids. They ask for their weight age and level of expertise. They’ll work the skis until your children are as comfortable as possible. It’s so much easier upon checkout. They also offer overnight repairs and tuning just in case you find yourself in need. This saves you a trip into town. I would 100% recommend the rental shop on the hill.
