Basic lifts - 5 main chairlifts give excellent access to 5 different bowls. Great open slopes, great tree skiing, lots of “off piste” some seriously challenging terrain all in a very friendly environment. Good restaurants in the town for evening meals. Can be cold -26...More

Fernie I bet is spectacular with powder - without its epic powder it’s a steep icy mess. Fingers crossed for better conditions for the next few days. On the other hand the people are lovely and warm and kind! The resort is not fussy and...More

I recently skied a few days at Fernie Alpine Resort. I enjoyed skiing the chutes off Polar Peak chair because of all the accumulated powder (the chair hadn't been open for several days) and the many steep tree runs accessible from White Pass chair. Other...More

This was my first trip to Fernie Resort and I would say it’s more of a skiers hill than a snowboarders hill due to the amount of flat areas and traverses that must be made to get from one chairlift to another. There are a...More

This is a great summer or winter resort but this time we enjoyed the skiing. Beautiful mountain with many pricey restaurants to pick from. Good ski shops and restaurants on the hill as well. Many new condo’s and hotels. The hill is great for beginner...More

I really enjoyed my time skiing Fernie even though they need more snow, just like all the other ski hills in the area. The runs were fun and lift lines were not bad. The staff were all friendly. Happy to see washrooms on the hill!...More
